With over 13 years of personal experience caring for dogs of all sizes and breeds (from Pugs, Maltipoos, and Shelties to Schnauzers, Border Collies, and Golden Retrievers), dogs have been a cherished part of my life since childhood. Having always grown up with two or three dogs at home, I deeply understand their subtle communication, individual needs, and unique personalities. What sets us apart: A Balanced & Loving Household: I live with my husband and our sweet, calm 11.5-year-old Golden Retriever. She is wonderfully social and great at helping nervous dogs feel safe and relaxed; she even helped my sister’s dog overcome his leash and park anxiety! We always ensure a slow, respectful initial introduction so both dogs feel completely comfortable. Small Group Hosting: To ensure personalized attention, individual love, and a relaxed environment, I host a maximum of 2 guest dogs at a time. Work-from-Home Flexibility & Continuous Supervision: Working part-time from home means your dog will never be left alone. On the rare occasion I need to step out, my husband (who also works from home) takes over, ensuring 100% constant presence, affection, and dynamic supervision. Nature at Our Doorstep & Custom Walks: We are located just 7 minutes from the local park next to the lake and 15 minutes from the forest. Walks are typically at least 30 minutes per outing, but I fully tailor the duration, speed, and frequency to match your dog's energy level, age, and personal routine. Positive Training & Enrichment: I love continuously learning about dog behavior and communication. Over the years, I’ve enjoyed training our dogs at home with both essential safety commands and fun tricks to keep their minds engaged. Our Daily Boarding Routine & Care: Flexible Check-in/Check-out: I offer flexible pickup and drop-off times coordinated directly with you to match your schedule. A Typical Day: Our days include morning walks, structured play, cozy indoor rest while I work, regular potty breaks, feeding according to your instructions, and a peaceful evening stroll. What to Bring for Your Dog's Comfort: To help your pup feel completely safe, comfortable, and right at home, please send along their favorite toy, snacks, blanket, as well as a raincoat and towel for rainy day walks. Sleeping Arrangements & Essentials: Your dog is welcome to sleep in our cozy living area or in our bedroom (on their own bed or blanket), ensuring they feel secure throughout the night. It is very helpful to bring their own bed, food, food/water bowls, and an unwashed clothing item from you so they can have your scent close by to ease any transition. As a dog owner myself, I know how crucial it is to have absolute peace of mind when you travel or work. We warmly open our doors to provide a calm, loving, and safe "second home" where your pup will be treated like family!
