Hi, I’m Gabi! I’m originally from Brazil and live in Langnau am Albis. I spent much of my career as a marketing executive at large multinational companies in Switzerland, Hong Kong and other countries. Now I’ve decided to make more room in my life for something I’ve always loved: caring for animals. I also work part-time with a Swiss environmental NGO. Protecting nature and standing up for animal rights are both close to my heart. I’ve had many dogs and cats throughout my life, from small pets to much bigger ones, also ferrets and ramsters and I’ve worked with organisations in Brazil that help homeless dogs. I love getting to know each animal’s personality. Some dogs are ready to be your best friend in five minutes, while others need a little time and space. I’m happy to let them set the pace. I live in a spacious, quiet apartment with my husband and our seven-year-old daughter, who loves animals and is gentle and respectful around them. We don’t currently have pets of our own, though we’re thinking about welcoming one again. The forest is just a few metres from our door, so there’s a lovely place nearby for a walk and plenty of sniffing. I offer overnight stay, day care, house sitting, home visit - for dogs, cats and other animals (to be agreed) and also dog walks for small and medium-sized dogs. For the walks I guarantee plenty of time to sniff, explore and enjoy being outside :). I’m flexible and we can agree on the length and timing together based on your dog’s usual routine. If you’re interested in care at my home, I’d love to meet and make sure your dog feels comfortable around children and in our space. I’d be happy to hear about your pet’s little habits and what helps them feel at home.
